Professional Development Fund
The Alumni Professional Development Fund exists to support alumni in advancing their career skills, knowledge, and professional goals. The fund provides reimbursement grants of up to $600 to help offset the costs of eligible career-building activities.
Eligible Expenses:
The fund may be used to reimburse alumni for the following:
- Registration fees for professional development conferences, workshops, or events
- Enrollment fees for training programs, certifications, continuing education units (CEUs), or other career-focused educational activities
- Other career-building or skill-enhancing activities approved by the Office of Alumni Relations
Ineligible Expenses:
The fund does not cover:
- Tuition for degree-seeking programs or coursework
- Travel expenses, including airfare, lodging, meals, or local transportation
- Equipment, software, or materials not included in the registration or enrollment fee
- Membership dues or subscription fees unrelated to a specific professional development activity
Timeline for Eligible Expenses:
- Expenses must have been incurred within the past 12 months prior to the application date.
- Applications for upcoming (future) eligible activities are also accepted but must follow the reimbursement process after the activity is completed.
Application and Reimbursement Process:
- All applications will be reviewed by the Office of Alumni Relations to determine eligibility and alignment with the fund’s purpose.
- Funding is provided on a reimbursement basis only. Approved applicants must submit original receipts or proof of payment for qualifying expenses before reimbursement is issued.
- The maximum lifetime award per applicant is $600.
The Office of Alumni Relations reserves the right to make final determinations on eligibility and funding amounts.
