Columbus Book Festival

2025 Call for Festival Entertainment

Entertain book-loving crowds at the 2025 Columbus Book Festival this summer at Main Library & Topiary Park.

Saturday, July 12

10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sunday, July 13

10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Performers of all kinds will entertain our Book Festival attendees from two outdoor stages, at Kaufman Plaza and Topiary Park. Shows should be appropriate for all ages and entertainers are welcome to accept tips from the audience.

Book-related content is encouraged!

Performer Guidelines

  • Performances must fit on one of the available entertainment spaces. The Kaufman Plaza Stage (hard surface) is approximately 10’x20’ and the Gatehouse Stage (grassy surface) is approximately 10’x10’. Both areas are shaded and will have electricity.

  • All performances should be family-friendly, but do not need to focus on families.

  • Each timeslot will be either 30 mins or 60 mins including setup & tear down.

  • Performers can hand out information, accept tips and sell merchandise.

  • A modest honorarium is available for performers.

Columbus Book Festival is committed to celebrating a broad range of cultures and ideas.

Should there be more entertainment applicants than space allows, a selection committee will review applications and select a mix of performers that together provide a wide range of content for festival attendees.
