For reference, the relevant specifications are EG 10, EG 11, EG 12, EG 13, EG 14, EG 15, EG 20, EG 25, EG 30, EG 35, EG 40, EU 20 and EU 910.


Your submission MUST adhere to one or more of these specifications.

Solar Array Tilt and Azimuth

The term "Array" refers to a group of solar panels that have the same tilt and azimuth. If you have two separate strings of panels that have the same tilt and azimuth, please group them into one "Array".

Plan Set Submission

The submitted plan set must include the following items:


  1. Specification sheets for String/Micro Inverter(s)
  2. Specification sheets for PV Modules
  3. Specification sheets for battery storage if applicable
  4. Specification sheets for MID proposed if applicable
  5. One-Line Diagram of PV interconnection
  6. Specifications of enclosure(s) into which NBU must install cable
  7. Dimensions and orientation of access opening
  8. Enclosure vertical dimension shall be two times the depth dimension
  9. Location of enclosure relative to the meters and the ground
  10. Proposed point of delivery connectors
  11. Two Perspective Isometric Plans
  12. Top Down Site Plan showing
  13. Panel locations on rooftop
  14. location of equipment including location of fences
  15. NOTE: Utility Service Equipment and PV Disconnect shall not be behind a fence without specific prior authorization.
  16. Front View Site Plan Showing (for each installation area) 
  17. Conduit runs
  18. Enclosures: Existing, to be Installed, to be relocated, to be removed.
  19. Grounding systems clearly labeled
  20. Specifications of enclosure(s) into which NBU must install cable
  21. Dimensions and orientation of access opening
  22. Enclosure vertical dimension shall be two times the depth dimension
  23. Location of enclosure relative to the meters and the ground
  24. Proposed point of delivery connectors


Your application will be REJECTED until it has all of these items included in it.


NBU also requires City permits to be submitted with the application if the instillation is occurring inside the City of New Braunfels of City of Schertz city limits. If your submission is lacking them it will be REJECTED.


Note, addresses inside the Veramendi and Mayfair developments, while outside City Limits currently, are treated as part of the City due to a development agreement with the City.
