Minneapolis Animal Care and Control Foster Application

MACC's amazing foster caregivers provide an extra level of care and attention to the animal residents who need it the most. This might include animals too young or small for adoption, those recovering from surgery or illness, or animals who could use a break from the shelter environment. The dedication and compassion of each foster caregiver changes the life of animals in need.

I am interested in participating in the Safety Net Program

The Safety Net Program assists many domestic violence survivors by offering temporary housing for their pets, taking them out of harm’s way, and allowing domestic violence survivors to relocate to a shelter. The goal of Animal Safety Net is to reunite people with their pets once they are safely out of the domestic violence shelter.

I am interested in participating in the Emergency Foster Program

These fosters are prepared to assist with the overflow of animals in case of an emergency such as a natural disaster or temporary displacement from one’s home. Emergency Relief foster parents keep their homes open and available so that when an emergency occurs the Foster Team can reach out to them directly and quickly find a home for a displaced animal.
