Transfer Applicant Deadline: May 1st

Temple introduced the #WhyUS campaign and scholarships to ensure all international students know that the U.S. is one of the most desirable places in the world to study. These scholarships, which range from $2,000 to $10,000 (transfer max award is $5,000) for up to four consecutive years (four years for first-year students and two years for transfer students), will be awarded for the best responses to our creative prompt.

The #WhyUS Scholarships will be awarded for the best responses to our creative prompt: Why Study in the U.S.?

Respond to the creative prompt in the format that works best for you.

Essay response (max. 250 words submitted as: .pdf, .jpeg, .doc)
Video (max. one minute)
Audio/spoken word essay (max. one minute)
Photo collage (.pdf, .jpg, .png)
Meme (.pdf, .jpg, .gif, .avi, .wmv or .mp4/.mpeg4)
Drawing (.pdf, .jpg or .png)
Painting (.pdf, .jpg or .png)

NOTE: If you are submitting Social Media posting (FB/IG/YT...etc) make sure your posting is public and can be accessed without needing to login (if not, the submission will be disqualified).

Winners will be chosen independent of a prospective student’s academic performance, and scholarships can be combined with other awards already received.

Eligibility: You must be a first-time Temple University international undergraduate applicant (first-year or transfer).

#Why US Scholarship Application Deadline for FALL:

First-Year Applicants : CLOSED (decisions release April 7)

Transfer Applicants: May 1st (decisions will be announced by or before July 1st)
