Fraud Report

If you suspect fraud, waste, or abuse of county resources, report it confidentially to help protect taxpayer dollars and ensure accountability. Reports can be made via email to countyauditor@co.bastrop.tx.us, phone at (512) 581-7116, or the form below.

Your report is protected from retaliatory action; however, reports can also be reported anonymously. All potential fraud reports will be investigated

WHAT TO REPORT:

Please report any suspected wrongdoing, including but not limited to:

•    Theft of county funds or property

•    Misuse of county resources

•    Fraudulent billing or invoicing

•    Bribery or kickbacks

•    Conflicts of interest

•    Payroll fraud (ghost employees, false timesheets)

•    Improper use of county credit cards

•    False expense reimbursements

•    Bid rigging or unfair contracting practices

•    Any other acts of corruption or misuse of public trust
