To modify an existing waiting list submission, please make your request below. You may be contacted for additional information as needed.


Examples of change requests:

  • Changing floor plan preferences
  • Renewing waiting list months (if originally selected months have past)
  • Updating number of occupants
  • Updating contact information
  • Updating position (employment documents required)


PLEASE NOTE: If your waiting list form submission is expired (waiting list months have not been renewed within 30 days of expiration), you may be required to submit a new waiting list form.


This form is intended for the affiliate rate programs only. This form is not intended for existing Below Market Rate (BMR) program at any University-owned rental communities. For more information regarding the BMR programs or to sign up for the BMR waiting list, please visit the Below Market Rate page on the website for the community of interest.

Qualifying Criteria

The following information is required to determine your eligibility.

Current Affiliates not paid directly by Stanford or Recruits -

Please upload your offer letter issued by Stanford University or Stanford Healthcare. Any letters that have been altered or redacted in any way will not be accepted. The letter must:

  • Be on Stanford department letterhead
  • Be directly addressed to you (we will not accept a letter addressed "To whom it may concern" as this is not an offer letter from the department to you)
  • State your full name
  • State your official title at Stanford
  • State your appointment start date
  • State your FTE
  • Be signed by a department chair, director, or HR representative


Current Affiliates paid directly by Stanford University or Stanford Healthcare -

Please upload a full recent paystub from within the past 60 days. Any paystubs that have been altered or redacted in any way will not be accepted. Paystubs should indicate hours worked, otherwise please submit a letter from your department in addition to your recent paystub to verify your FTE. The letter must:

  • Be on Stanford department letterhead
  • State your full name
  • State your official title at Stanford
  • State your appointment start date
  • State your FTE
  • Be signed by a department chair, director, or HR representative

Waiting List Acknowledgement

Please carefully read the information below. By checking the box at the bottom of each statement, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the outlined waiting list information.

This form is only a request to be added to the waiting list. You will receive an automated message confirming receipt of your form submission.


If any required documents are missing, you will be contacted to submit additional information.


You will receive a message indicating your eligibility for each property that you selected. If you are not eligible for a property, your name will not be added to the waiting list for that property.


Please note, a representative at each property may contact you to confirm your preferences.

Your position on the waiting list is based on the priority for which you qualify AND the date this form as well as acceptable qualifying criteria documents were received.


Being added to the waiting list at any of the properties does not guarantee a unit. Units will be offered based on the priority system and are subject to availability.


You are responsible for responding to all unit offers, even if it is to decline the unit. Those who do not respond to unit offers are marked as inactive and will be removed from the list after 30 days have lapsed without a written response.


After 3 unit offer declines, your form submission date will refresh. Due to this policy, we highly advise to provide as many specific preferences as possible to prevent receiving offers that are not of interest to you.

Your position on the waiting list can change at any time due to higher-priority applicants joining the list.


For this reason, and because availability of a specific unit cannot be predicted more than 30 days in advance, we cannot tell you specifically what your position is on the list, or when you will be offered housing.

Yes. The more information we receive about your preferences, the better. It will help us to determine which apartment will best fit your needs based on what becomes available.

I understand that being added to the waiting list does not guarantee a unit, and that units are offered based on a priority system and are subject to availability.


I understand that if I am not contacted by the end of my initially selected move in month preferences, that I must submit a request to stay on the waiting list for the next three months.
