Abstract Reviewers - 2024

We are seeking qualified individuals to volunteer time to review platform, poster, and/or educational presentations. 


We appreciate your time and invite you to take part in the 2024 abstract review process. Please submit this form by April 19, 2024.


  • Information provided on this form allows the conference program committee to determine and assign reviewers for particular sessions.
  • Reviews will occur online. 
  • Each reviewer will have approximately 10-15 abstracts to review.
  • We are looking for 50-60 reviewers. 


We look forward to having you in our volunteer pool. If selected to be a reviewer, you will receive further information by April 29, 2024.

1. Physical Therapy Assistant Education and Clinical Issues

  • Proposals may include topics addressing the comprehensive landscape of issues related to the education and clinical training of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs). It encompasses various facets such as curriculum design, clinical education, and overarching strategies for student success.

2. Clinical Education

  • Proposals may include topics addressing strategies for effective teaching and mentoring during clinical education experiences. The proposal may also focus on academic educational strategies to foster clinical site relationships and student clinical education preparation and success.

3. JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion)

  • Proposals may include topics addressing creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment that acknowledges and values the diversity of students, faculty, and patients.

4. Education Innovation

  • Proposals may include topics exploring advancements in teaching methodologies. This includes integrating technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and simulation, employing effective teaching and assessment strategies, fostering interprofessional education (IPE), and optimizing classroom design and activities to enhance the learning experience.

5. Empowering Student Success

  • Proposals may include topics addressing providing support and resources for holistic admissions practices. Proposals addressing wellness (mental health, burnout prevention, mindfulness), addressing financial considerations (financial literacy), and implementing academic accommodations.

6. Curricular design

  • Proposals may include topics focused on curricular design and assessment such as competency-based education, hybrid learning and curricular mapping.

7. Administration and Leadership

  • Proposals may include topics related to managing and leading the educational program or clinical education environment. This includes effective communication within leadership, establishing mentorship programs for faculty and/or clinicians, and strategic planning to ensure continual improvement and alignment with industry standards
