Learn what it takes to become a firefighter at this family-friendly event:


  • Meet with fire department recruiters.
  • Try out the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).
  • Learn what to expect on the FCTC Written Test.
  • Find out about the FCTC Statewide Eligibility List (SEL) and how to get on it.
  • Take an up-close look at fire apparatus.
  • Learn about the day-to-day life of a firefighter from the Cal-JAC Commission to Recruit Women for the Fire Service.
  • Watch your kid test out their skills on the kid's version of the CPAT.
  • Enjoy free refreshments and lunch.
