Student Competition Funding

Purpose: The BCIT Student Association (BCITSA) allocates funds on behalf of BCIT in order to support students and student clubs with their participation in competitions. Funding is allocated by a joint committee based on availability of funds and criteria met by the club/student.

Funding is available for students and clubs who are not in the School of Business*.

Upon approval for funding, each club/student will be asked to submit a brief report detailing their experience with their chosen initiative within two weeks’ time of attending. This information may be used in materials to promote competition funding.

Funds will be issued to the club/student upon receipt of their final report, and individual students will be reimbursed following the standard reimbursement process. The maximum funding that could be received upon approval is $5000 at 50-75% reimbursement, but this figure will vary based on availability and the number of applications seeking funding. Funds are very limited.

Original receipts for expenses must be presented.
