Referrals must be submitted no later than 15 days after the candidate has taken the multiple choice test.

Referral Incentive Distribution: 50% at appointment ($1,000) and 50% at the completion of the academy ($1,000).

Eligibility: Current or retired city employees not involved in the police officer hiring decisions.

The referrer must be specified and confirmed by the candidate. Any referrers that are not stated by the candidate may not be eligible to receive the incentive. If a candidate confirms more than one referrer, only the first eligible will receive funds.

Candidates cannot refer themselves.
