VOCARÉ is a career discernment retreat planned for Fall 2024 over a two-day weekend on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, at the Mary & Joseph Retreat Center in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The word “vocaré” is derived from Latin, meaning “to call.” Take the space and time to explore your calling.

VOCARÉ is a unique opportunity for LMU students and alumni to reflect on where they have been, who they are, and where they are going. We are excited to have staff and faculty take part in VOCARÉ as well.

This one-day and overnight career discernment-focused program provides a reflective experience where participants can share, learn, and connect with LMU faculty, staff, and alumni.

Whether you are exploring employment or graduate school after LMU, take the time to hear real-life advice from a variety of perspectives. Whether you are clear on what you want to pursue professionally or still figuring out your next steps, this program is for you.

Saturday, October 19

• 7:15am Meet at LMU and bus ride to retreat center
• 8:30am Arrive at center and check-in
• Program includes reflective exercises, small group conversations, and meals.
• 11pm Lights Out

Sunday, October 20

• 8am Program Begins with Breakfast
• Program includes reflective exercises, small group conversations, and meals.
• 3pm Program ends
• 4pm Arrive at LMU
