Academic Standing Committee -- Intention to Appeal Application

The Bouvé Associate Dean of Academic Affairs will review appeals related to academic standards which include academic progression, academic standing, permission to resume studies, changes in requirements and repeating courses. Students who believe that they were erroneously, capriciously, or otherwise unfairly treated in an academic or cooperative education decision may petition to appeal the decision.

**This petition is not used to dispute final course grades; please consult with your instructor, advisor, program director, or the academic catalog for additional information on grade appeals

A document that provides a clear and concise rationale for the basis of your appeal and outlines your specific plan to improve your academic deficiency or ensure a successful outcome. For example, describe how you will remediate coursework, improve study habits, implement additional support systems, or otherwise manage the implications of a policy and progression standards waiver.

If you wish, you may describe any additional extenuating circumstances (e.g. living situations, medical problems, family issues, etc.) that you feel may have contributed to your academic/professional appeal and will be relevant to your discussion with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
