Call for 35 hours of Volunteer Leave for all employees
Finding time to volunteer can be hard, especially with work and daily life. But volunteering is more important than ever! It helps communities, and organisations run and deliver vital services across the UK.
Even though volunteering is so important, fewer people are doing it. The biggest reason? Not enough time.
That’s why we’re asking for:
The right for all UK employees to ask for up to 35 hours of paid volunteer leave each year.
Scouts, Girlguiding, Sea Cadets and St John Ambulance, with other voluntary organisations, are working together to make this a reality.
This would make it easier to:
- Help local charities, community groups, or youth organisations.
- Volunteer during lunch breaks, work hours, or special events.
- Support important causes—without losing pay.
Sign your name to help make this happen! With 35 hours of paid volunteer leave, more people can support their communities. This will make volunteering easier for everyone.
