Plan A Partner Application
Plan A is an evidence-based, 23-minute sex ed short film developed by Sentient Research. After watching Plan A, research shows that young people:
• Know more about contraceptives and the risks of HIV/STIs
• Have a lower frequency of unprotected sex
• Increased long-acting reversible contraception use
• Increased rate of getting tested for STIs
• Were more likely to discuss a range of sexual health topics with a health care provider
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM) Education offers the Plan A video to partner organizations serving vulnerable youth who may be incarcerated, on probation, in foster care, or have been suspended from school. Partners in California and Nevada can apply to offer Plan A to the youth they serve (ages 16-19). Qualifying partners receive:
• Facilitator training and a $1,500 program license (purchased by PPMM for partner sites)
• Technical assistance and coaching
• Evaluation tools and outcome reports
• Essential program supplies including technology, incentives, facilitator materials, snacks, etc.
• A partner fee to support overall implementation (up to $5,000)
