A brief, clear summary of your proposal that grabs our attention in a short couple of paragraphs. 200 words suggested word limit.

  • Who will your project or event serve?
  • Where are these groups of people located?
  • Are they agriculture workers? Producers? Migrant Workers? Families of Ag workers?
  • What is their culture? What age group?


Weighted priority will be given to projects serving underrepresented farmer/farmworker populations.

What is the farm stress and/or agricultural suicide prevention-related problem your project seeks to address? Are there specific studies from credible sources? If so, please provide a citation.

How will you address your identified problem? What specifics actions will you take to address this problem? Summarize your plan, beginning to end. Be specific and go more into detail to help us understand what your project or event will look like every step of the way.

Clearly identify how your target audience will understand, analyze, develop, decide, and/or implement through participation in your project or event.

How many farmers or farmworkers will be impacted by your project? Can it be repeated successfully and built upon? Could its reach grow to impact more people? Will you project continue into the future as you seek funding from different sources? If your project addresses local needs, can it be adapted to address regional needs?

Describe your personal and/or organizational experience related to farm stress. Describe the skills, experience, and knowledge of yourself and/or your team.

Does your organization have a previous relationship with the target audience? Does your project include other personal or organizational collaborators? Describe how your collaborations will contribute to the project and increase the likelihood of farmer, farmworker, or rancher participation.

Have your project and strategies been implemented successfully by other projects in the past? How does your project build upon similar previous projects?

Explain how your project is innovative. If your project is unique, explain innovative approaches to develop or deliver training, materials, or tools.

How will the results be recorded and measured? How will you evaluate and track the outcome and impact of your project? Will you be using any standardized data collection tools? Please list them.
