Adding or Modifying a Work Assignment

Existing Casual & Adjunct Faculty


  • Single Work Assignments: Select "Single Request" under Work Assignment Type and submit one request per employee.


  • Bulk Work Assignments: Select "Multiple Request" under Work Assignment Type and complete and upload the provided template.


  • Modify an Existing Work Assignment: Select "Change Request" under Work Assignment Type and complete the information that is changing.



Work Assignments are paid as a lump sum based on the number of pay periods within the work assignment start and end date divided by the total contract hours.

When the Instructor is first expected to start teaching the course, this defines when the employee will start getting paid

When the course is expected to be fully completed and no further work is required, this defines when the employee's pay will stop.

If this is an Adjunct instructor and the rate is over $80/hour, please attach Dean's approval in the form of an email.

If the instructor was hired before July 1 2023, they will automatically be moved to the next step this October. Instructors hired after July 1 2024 will stay at the same step until October of 2024.
