Developmental Pathways is excited to partner with Douglas County Fair & Rodeo to offer 'Unbridled Rodeo,' a free event for individuals with disabilities and their families!


Location: Douglas County Fairgrounds (500 Fairgrounds Dr. Castle Rock, CO 80104)

Date: Wednesday, July 30th, 2025

Time: Doors open at 10:00 am. Ceremony at 10:30 am with activities to follow.


Join us for rodeo and western-themed adaptive activities:

•    Stick horse racing

•    Mechanical bull riding

•    Roping

•    Crafts

•    Sensory touch exploration

•    Dancing

•    And much more…


Food and drink samples will be provided. Additional refreshments/snacks will be available for purchase.


A sensory space and therapeutic mini horses will be onsite, if needed. There will be specific parking available for those with disabilities. Parking attendants will guide you to the parking lot on the day of.


Please note that each individual participating in Disability Awareness Day will need to complete this form/their own RSVP for waiver and tracking purposes.

I hereby grant my permission for my child/ward, to participate in the Unbridled Rodeo being held at and in conjunction with the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The administrators, employees, sponsors, agents, and volunteers of the Unbridled Rodeo, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Developmental Pathways, Douglas County, Douglas County Fair Foundation, and Douglas County Fair & Rodeo are hereby released, acquitted, and discharged from any claim for damage or suit by reason of injury, illness, death, or damage to person or property during the course of this program, and in that regard, I hereby covenant that on my behalf and for the child/ward named above, not to file a claim or suit with respect to any such injury, illness, death, or damage, that is directly or indirectly sustained as a result of my child's/ward's participation in any and all phases of Unbridled Rodeo activities.


It is my understanding that participants in the Unbridled Rodeo may be photographed and/or interviewed for use by television, film, video/slides, or printed media to demonstrate the nature of the program and to further the aims of the Unbridled Rodeo, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Developmental Pathways, Douglas County, Douglas County Fair Foundation and Douglas County Fair & Rodeo in related campaigns, magazine articles, booklets, posters, and in any other way deemed appropriate by the administrators and employees of the Unbridled Rodeo program. Through my or my child’s participation, I hereby release the Unbridled Rodeo, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Developmental Pathways, Douglas County, Douglas County Fair Foundation and Douglas County Fair & Rodeo from any and all claims in the usage of such photographs, footage, and/or interviews. In doing so, I grant my permission for my child/ward to be photographed, videoed, and/or interviewed.


The nature and procedures of the Unbridled Rodeo have been fully explained to me and I acknowledge my understanding of what my child's participation will be.


I, the undersigned, have read and fully understand the provisions of the above stated release. I hereby agree that I and the above-named child/ward will be bound thereby, and that I shall defend and hold harmless the Unbridled Rodeo, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Developmental Pathways, Douglas County, Douglas County Fair Foundation and Douglas County Fair & Rodeo for any disaffirmation thereof.
