Anyone encountering a situation that requires immediate police, medical, psychological or other emergency services should call 911 or the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD) at 512-471-4441 for assistance, during regular business hours and during the evening, weekends and holidays. Title IX Texas Senate Bill 212 (Link) requires all employees of Texas universities to report any information to the Title IX Office (Link to Title IX Office) regarding sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking that they witness or receive while acting in the course and scope of their employment. Texas law requires that all employees who witness or receive any information of this type (including in written forms and applications) must report to Title IX. Submitting this campus climate experience report form does not meet reporting requirements per Texas Senate Bill 212. Please refer to links provided above. Confidentiality Initiatives for Campus Support is not a confidential space for reporting incidents related to sexual assault, sexual misconduct, stalking, interpersonal violence (dating and domestic) and sexual harassment, which fall under Title IX federal guidelines. Though every effort will be made to ensure the privacy of enrolled UT-Austin students, Initiatives for Campus Support cannot guarantee confidentiality in every situation. Please be aware that we have a legal obligation to respond institutionally to situations that may threaten the safety of The University of Texas at Austin community. UT-Austin students can access a confidential space through the Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC) and University Health Services (UHS).
