9th Grade Jump Start

Starting high school is a milestone. When you enter high school, you’ll have an increased academic workload, a set of new teachers, and you’ll be part of a larger student population.


You and all incoming 9th graders are encouraged to attend Jump Start, where you’ll learn strategies and skills to help you feel confident and resourceful about your upcoming school year.


At Jump Start, students will learn strategies to help them succeed in their new environment. They’ll also get into the basics, like:

    • Finding classrooms

    • Opening lockers

    • Meeting teachers

    • Navigating the cafeteria

    • Meeting new classmates


WHAT: 9th Grade Jump Start


WHERE: Foss, Lincoln, Mt Tahoma, Silas, Stadium


WHEN: August 20, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.


Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided.


Transportation: Information coming soon.

Students with Life Threatening Health Conditions must have a care plan, orders, medications, and supplies (if needed) in place to attend Jump Start.
