2025 British Youth Championship - Regional Qualifying Event Bye Request Form

This form is to be completed by any athlete (or parent/guardian of an athlete) seeking exemption from their respective Regional Qualifying Event (RQE) for the British Youth Championships (BYCs 2025).


  • Byes are only allocated in exceptional circumstances where fencers are unable to attend their RQE.
  •  Where fencers have been selected for a GBR (U17 or U20) or home nation (U14) international on the weekend of their RQE, fencers are able to apply for a bye.
  •  The awarding of Byes will be approved on an individual basis by BF, advised by the respective Region and Home Nation.
  • 2024 TOP 8 Byes – All fencers who finished in the top 8 of the 2024 BYC finals automatically receive a bye for the 2025 event and therefore do not need to complete this form. They must confirm with their region that they intend to take their place at the 2025 event.


British Fencing will confirm whether the bye request has been granted via a confirmation email (this comes from Smartsheet)
