ACR Measure Concept Suggestion Form

We want to hear your ideas for new quality measures!

This form assists you with submitting your quality measurement idea in a format that facilitates the subsequent vetting of your proposal by ACR Economics and Quality and Safety member- and staff leaders. Measure concepts may be considered during any phase of their development. Designate the phase of the measure concept’s development. Please select the phase of measure development.

Designate whether the measurement data may be captured utilizing methods that reduce or increase user burden.

List the data sources that might capture the elements of this measure upon its development completion. This may include electronic health record systems, PACs, dictation platforms, and other products.

Designates whether existing measures for which the proposed concept may support, conflict, or be inferior. Please check the box if this concept has related or competing measures.

The Meaningful Measurement Initiative was adopted by CMS and identifies high-priority areas for quality measurement and improvement. It aims to improve health outcomes for patients, their families, and measured entities (e.g., clinicians, hospitals, and health plans).

Its purpose is to deliver value by empowering people to make informed care decisions while reducing the burden on clinicians and hospitals. Please select those for which your concept aligns.

Information about the Initiative and measurement domains may be accessed at https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Quality-Initiatives-Patient-Assessment-Instruments/QualityInitiativesGenInfo/Downloads/CMS-Meaningful-Measures_Overview-Fact-Sheet_508_2018-02-28.pdf.
