Award Requirements

The Bookshelf Diversity Committee will meet each quarter and decide on which applicants are awarded funds for books. Awards amounts may vary up to $500.



If chosen for an award, Racial Unity Team will notfiy you via email and send attachements for you to begin the process of choosing your books.


If you are chosen for a partial award amount, you may reapply for the remaining amount in furtue quarters. For example: you are awarded $200 in Q1. You may reapply to reach the max of $500 within that year.


If you are not chosen for the quarter in which you entered, you may be contacted for further clarification or information for the next quarter. You may also reapply at any time.



Once this is completed, the books get ordered and prepared for delivery to you. A team member will contact you to set up a delivery time. During the delivery you can expect to have photographs/videos taken of the unboxing in your classroom. There will also be a few interview questions that go along with this process. A follow up within 3 months of delivery for further information around the impact of this award can be expected.
