Energy Efficiency Incentive Agreement

Disclaimers: Orcas Power & Light Cooperative (OPALCO) hereby disclaims any and all implied warranties (including but not limited to implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) and shall not be responsible for any representation or promise with respect to the equipment, materials or labor required for the installation of energy efficiency measures on the premises, or the cost of such equipment, materials, and labor.


Additional Conditions:

1. Rebate form and documentation must be received within 1 year of the completed project. 2. Available to OPALCO residential members. 3. Homeowners are responsible for complying with all applicable codes and regulations. 4. Customers doing the work themselves (without a licensed contractor) may be subject to inspection by an OPALCO Energy Advisor at no charge prior to payment of incentives. 5. Incentives less than $100 are applied as a credit to the member’s account; greater than $100 are paid directly to the member/homeowner by check. 6. OPALCO reserves the right to inspect energy efficiency measures prior to payment and will coordinate inspection as applicable. 7. Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing and payment of incentives.


Definitions


Commercial

The Commercial Sector includes electrical energy used in service-providing facilities and equipment of businesses; federal, state and local governments; and other private and public organizations. The Commercial Sector is generally defined as non-manufacturing business establishments including hotels, motels, restaurants, wholesalers. retail stores and health, social and educational institutions.

Residential

The Residential Sector includes electrical energy used in a residential setting (e.g. single-family residences, multi-family residential structures up to three-stories high* and manufactured homes). Excluded are temporary residences such hotels, motels, nursing homes, dorms, or any other generally temporary quarters. Multifamily housing greater than three stories high is considered commercial.
