Requirements

This practicum is part of a formal education process for students enrolled in a public or private post-secondary institution related to or has previously taught theory related to the field of Wildlife Rehabilitation.

The student is required to be enrolled in the institute during their time as a Practicum Student with WRA.

The student is required in good faith to be enrolled in the institute with the intention to pursue a degree or certificate awarded by the public or private post-secondary institute.

Wildlife Rescue is open every day of the year including statutory holidays. Operating hours can vary from 6 am - 10 pm, seasonally.

The ideal candidate has the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.

Practicum placements take place at our site: 5216 Glencarin Drive, Burnaby, BC, V5B 3C1.

Wildlife Rescue is located 20-30 minutes' walk from the nearest public transport. On holidays and at weekends, public transport may not reach our site from some locations before shift start times.
