Provide information about a council service, policy, strategy, or guidelines

The teams monitor requests Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm.


We prioritise requests for support that align to the council’s priorities and agreed Marketing and Communications Plan. The more notice and detail you can provide, the better. It’s important that you plan ahead.


Please allow around 10 working days for a first response and longer for the work to be actioned.


Current response times will be around 15 working days for a first response and longer for the work to be actioned if the request involves any work on our websites and input from the Digital Experience team. This to help the Digital Experience team prioritise the development of a new Renfrewshire.gov.uk as part of the Digital Experience programme.


We’ll come back to you sooner if your request is considered as an urgent priority. Last minute requests can only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

What do you need?*

Be short and focus on the subject rather than the solution.


For example:

  • new process for special uplifts
  • new information for taxi licences
  • Incorrect information for staff on how to handle complaints.

Please give as much information as possible. To submit new or updated content, please upload a Word doc as a file attachment further below. We will review what you submit to make sure it meets our standards.

If there is a statutory requirement associated with this request, please:


  • provide a link to the statutory requirement
  • quote and describe what it says about the information that must be published
  • advise if the requirement states a specific format for this information such as Word or Excel.

Please propose a clear and reasonable timeline for your request and a reason for that timeline.


“As soon as possible”, "ASAP", or “Urgent” doesn’t convey any sort of timeline and it doesn't help us prioritise.


In your suggested timeline, please allow up to 15 working days for a first response and longer for the work to be actioned.

Please include the web link of each page or media that you refer to in your request. Links should be in their full format (https://www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/) and you may enter as many links as needed. This will help us make sure we are looking at the same page(s) and document(s) you are describing.


For printed documents such as leaflets and posters, you can add existing files in the attachments field below.
