The Nahum Hardy Residences at 51 Lake St, Waltham, MA is a 19 unit affordable apartment building for seniors age 62 and older. This is a non-subsidized building and the current 2021 rents are $1,084 for 1 bedroom unit and $1,227 for 2 bedroom unit. The property is a three story brick building with an elevator. There is off street surface parking, coin-op laundry on site, a patio and yard. Applicants must fall within the 2021 Income Guidelines for Waltham at or below 80% of the Area Median Income per household size as published by the Massachusetts Housing Partnership by household size: 1 person $70,750.00 2 person $80,850.00 3 person $90,950.00 All residents living at Nahum Hardy Residences have to be age 62 or older. There is no smoking allowed inside the building - this means no smoking in any apartments and/or any common areas. this includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and marijuana (medical or recreational use). When an apartment becomes available, persons on the waiting list will be contacted (in the order of when name was added to the list) to view the apartment. If interested, he/she will be required to submit an application with supporting income/asset information within 2 weeks of viewing the apartment. Monitoring of these affordable apartments is done by the City of Waltham Housing Division annually. Residents have to provide income and asset information each year to remain as tenant. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED ANNUALLY TO SEE IF YOU WISH TO REMAIN ON THIS WAITING LIST. iF YOU DO NOT REPLY TO THE COMMUNICATION, YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION CHANGES, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO UPDATE US OR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST IF WE ARE UNABLE TO CONTACT YOU WHEN A UNIT BECOMES AVAILABLE. AFTER TWO REFUSALS OF AN AVAILABLE UNIT YOUR NAME WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST.
