Partnerships & Applications Workshop

Portland, OR - June 26-27, 2025

Workshop Overview

Following its first iteration in June 2024 (see report here), this year’s CRESCENT Partnerships & Applications Workshop is designed to explore the emergent challenges and needs of the multi-disciplinary community involved in earthquake hazard study and mitigation in the Pacific Northwest. CRESCENT research updates, community presentations, and facilitated discussion sessions will address the following themes:

  • Science communication
  • Emergency preparedness and response
  • Data availability and access
  • Resource limitations

We welcome applications from anyone interested in Cascadia earthquake resilience, including researchers, practitioners, educators, policymakers, and representatives of community organizations.

The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Geosciences Teachers (NAGT) will host their annual meeting alongside the CRESCENT workshop and we look forward to collaborative sessions that highlight geoscience education topics and opportunities.
