The It Bag is a new, highly curated experience at NY NOW, curated by Emily Blumenthal—Founder of The Handbag Awards and Author & Host of the Handbag Designer 101 podcast. This exclusive showcase spotlights standout talent through handpicked designers whose work exemplifies innovation, originality, and commercial appeal. Each participant will present only their top-selling, most iconic styles—true “It Bags”—offering buyers and press a focused look at the best in emerging and independent handbag design. Presented in a thoughtfully styled retail environment, this exciting new feature is designed to help buyers visualize how these select bags can be merchandised to maximize impact, excitement, and sell-through potential..

It Bag designers will:

Gain access to an exclusive online community for networking and expert advice
Participate in a dedicated webinar to prepare for the upcoming market
Benefit from marketing features on NY NOW's social media platforms, as well as direct outreach to retailers and editors in their respective networks.

Please upload 5 high-resolution product images — one image per bag — featuring your TOP 5 best bags that best represent your brand. Each image must be on a white background, show only one bag, and be a clean product shot. Required image file formats are: JPEGS, JPGS, TIFFS or PNGS only. If your top styles are the same bag in different colors, that is acceptable, but they will count toward your 5 submitted bags. These images will be used in the jurying process to help determine eligibility and selection for IT BAG @ NY NOW, as space is limited.
