Background
The Washington Department of Commerce (Commerce) and Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (Agency) are serving as lead organizations for climate action planning under Phase 1 of EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) program. The next major deliverable for this planning grant is the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP), which is due to EPA on December 1, 2025. The CCAP is a long-range planning document that includes measures and strategies to comprehensively reduce climate pollution in a jurisdiction over the near-, medium- and long-term. Commerce will develop one CCAP on behalf of the State of Washington, and the Agency will develop a separate CCAP on behalf of the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue Metropolitan Statistical Area, consisting of King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish Counties.

This survey
Commerce and the Agency are seeking your feedback to inform our state and regional CCAPs. Your feedback is critical to guiding the priorities for CCAP development, as well as topics for further engagement in your region over the next year. Topics include priorities for greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction measures, sectors of focus, and important co-benefits of climate action. This outreach represents one of many opportunities to provide feedback into Comprehensive Climate Action Planning, which will continue through fall of 2025. The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete. Results are anonymous. By submitting this survey, your information will be used for CCAP planning purposes and survey results will be shared publicly. Please exit the survey if you do not consent.
