Administrative Services Change Request

Institutions are requested to approach change request through defining detailed business requirements and objectives. Change Requests should include as much supporting materials as possible to assist in articulating the requirements.

Specify a summary of what is being requested. This field will be used to status and report and should be brief in nature. Please limit to 30 Characters. This field will mainly be used for reporting.

Specify the requirements of the change requested. The change should focus on the desired outcome and not introduce solutions. Please address the following: 1. Describe the business process that needs to be addressed. 2. What metrics can be provided to help the change review board understand the scope of the requested change (Number of Students, Number of Transactions, Number of Hours, etc) 3. How is this issue currently being addressed on your campus? 4. How will you address the requirement if the change request is not approved? Is there a workaround? 5. Does this request have a financial impact (paycheck, benefits, retirement, budget, year-end, etc) 6. Is there an extenuating urgency associated with this request (Must be accompanied with any Priority of Production Critical) 7. Does the change impact state or federal compliance? Note: The more detail provided by the requestor will greatly expedite the approval process and eliminate the need for discovery meetings.

Potential Solutions

All change requests should be accompanied by at least one solution and recommendation. An objective evaluation of the pros and cons of each solution offered should supplement solutions offered.
