A justification form must be sent to Human Resources prior to extending an offer for approval – please include candidates interviewed and search committee members.

This justification should encompass why the candidate was chosen, how their skills and experience directly correspond with the job requirements, and their anticipated contributions to both the department’s objectives and Colby College's overarching mission.


As of July 1, 2024, ALL new hire start dates should align with New Hire Orientation dates. Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Exceptions will require the approval of the department VP and CHRO.
