CACFP National Advisory Committee Application
The Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN) is excited to invite Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) professionals to join our esteemed CACFP National Advisory Committee (NAC). As a committee member, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise, knowledge, and perspectives to shape the future of ICN's CACFP education and training resources.
We are seeking a diverse range of professionals from various programs, including family child care providers, small and large child care centers, adult day care centers, emergency shelters, afterschool at-risk programs, sponsoring organizations, and state agencies. A diverse committee will provide a range of perspectives that will help us better understand the needs of the CACFP community.
The CACFP National Advisory Committee members will serve a three-year term and attend annual meetings. We will host in-person meetings every other year, and the cost will be covered by ICN as outlined in the University of Mississippi's travel policies and procedures. The first CACFP NAC meeting will occur virtually in Fall 2023.
As a CACFP NAC member, you will have the opportunity to:
• Advise ICN on future CACFP projects and initiatives
• Provide feedback on current CACFP policies and practices related to education and training
• Collaborate with other CACFP professionals from different backgrounds and programs
• Participate in discussions and provide input on CACFP best practices
• Develop and recommend solutions to improve CACFP education and training resources
• Promote and support the CACFP on a national level
We encourage all qualified and passionate CACFP professionals to apply for this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of millions of children and adults across the United States. We look forward to receiving your application and welcoming you to the CACFP National Advisory Committee.
Thank you for your interest in applying to be a member of the CACFP National Advisory Committee.
We will review your qualifications and contact you if chosen to participate.
