Criteria: Earned a minimum of 57 GPA credit hours (Earned college-level course work from UHD and Transfer College(s) will be evaluated at the end of the Fall 2018 semester (excluding developmental coursework) Submit all transcripts from other colleges, this information must be in the UHD student record system when your application is submitted. Must have earned 24 UHD credit hours. (All UHD GPA college credits hours will be reviewed at the end of the Fall 2018.) Must have a UHD GPA of 3.50 or higher at the end of Fall 2018. Must maintained a UHD GPA of 3.50 or higher at the end of the Summer 2019 to be eligible to receive this award. Enroll and complete a minimum of 12 GPA credit hours each semester (Fall 2019 and Spring 2020), and Please note that PB and Graduate students are not eligible to apply.

Your essay must be approximately two pages (double-spaced) using Times Roman font 12pt. Save as a PDF document. Upload this document to your electronic application. Please make sure to include your Name and Student ID# at the top of each page. Save your document by including FY19 RR_ your first initial and then your last name. Your essay will be reviewed by the Red Rose Scholarship Committee and scored for the inclusion of each of the three (3) the broad topics below. Essays received with less than 3 fully developed paragraphs, may receive a lower overall score from the committee. Please include any relevant information, as it applies to you: 1. Scholastic Achievements, Educational Goals, Career Goals, Scholastic Honors, Time Management and overall Presentation of your Essay. - 45% of Essay Score 2. Leadership Activities/Family/Work/Campus Organizations/.Community Organizations - 30% of Essay Score 3. Family Commitments/Work Commitments/Other Extra-curricular Activities/Community Service Volunteer Work - 25% of Essay Score Additional Instructions: Please keep in mind that your organization and the focus of your essay will also be evaluated by the Red Rose Committee. Your writing skills are extremely important to the Red Rose Scholarship Committee, so review your grammar and punctuation before submitting your essay. * Handwritten essays will not be accepted.
