Jackson Care Connect (JCC) is proud to partner with La Clinica's Learning Well to offer financial support to aspiring healthcare interpreters. Through this partnership, we provide access to in-person, Oregon Health Authority-approved training courses. Interested applicants should review the requirements and complete the JCC application.

Financial assistance slots are limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Eligible Expenses

Please note that these listed expenses are the only ones JCC will consider paying for.

OHA required language proficiency testing in English.
OHA required language proficiency testing in target language.

Required materials and textbooks for HCI training course.
OHA HCI training qualification/certification exam costs.
OHA HCI program application fees.
HCI CEU’s to maintain qualification if you are already currently a qualified or certified HCI with the state of Oregon.

Pre-Eligibility Checklist

To qualify for this Jackson Care Connect financial assistance program, applicants must meet the specified minimum requirements outlined in the "pre-eligibility checklist" section:

1. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Applicants must possess a high school diploma (or GED equivalent) or higher.

3. Applicants must pass an OHA-approved proficiency test in the language they plan to interpret in.

4. Applicants must not be listed on the OIG's Medicaid Exclusion Database.

5. Upon completion of training, applicants must commit to providing in-person interpretation services in Jackson County at healthcare organizations that serve Medicaid members.

6. By proceeding with this application, I acknowledge that I meet all of the requirements listed in the pre-eligibility section. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in the rejection of my application by JCC.
