SPARK Ipswich- Expressions of Interest

Ipswich City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from local artists or artists with a connection to the Ipswich region.

Artists will be selected through an Expression of Interest process, overseen by a panel, who will select successful artists based on merit, connection with local region, availability and price. All local artists including First Nations artists, artists from diverse cultures and artists with disability are encouraged to apply. Given the project’s partial alignment (the first four days of the festival) with the dates NAIDOC Week, applications from First Nation artists will be highly regarded.

Events include:

SPARK Festival Hub - Activating the cultural heart of Ipswich D’Arcy Doyle Place and surrounding venues will be transformed into a visual feast with multiple projection works profiling local artists. The Hub will also host music, sculpture and way-finding Thursdays – Sundays during the festival.

Tulmur Artspace - Tulmur Place transforms into a family friendly artspace with visual artwork workshops led by local artists. The activation will be accompanied by music performances by prominent local acts.

deLight - Key Ipswich landmark building/s will be activated with a major projection work – deLight - that profiles visual artists and reflects the culture of Ipswich, its people and places.
