Membership Types

Builder. Any party who, for a period of two years, has been actively engaged in the building or surfacing of tennis courts, running tracks, courts & recreational facilities, natural or synthetic turf sports fields or other athletic or recreational surfaces, or the installation of products or components related thereto, shall be eligible to be a Builder Member of the Association. Any applicant shall be deemed to meet the two-year requirement if a majority of the voting control of the applicant is held by individuals who at the time of the application are designated by the Association as a Certified Tennis Court Builder, a Certified Track Builder, or a Certified Field Builder.

Annual Dues: $1,025.00 USD

Professional. Any party who is engaged in the business of rendering professional design or consulting services on a fee basis in connection with the construction of tennis courts, running tracks, courts & recreational facilities, natural or synthetic turf sports fields, or other athletic or recreational surfaces, and is qualified under state law to do so, or the rendering of technical, testing, advisory or consulting services related thereto, shall be eligible to be a Professional Member of the Association.

Annual Dues: $600.00 USD

Supplier. Any party who, for a period of two years, has been engaged in the manufacture for resale or distribution at wholesale of materials, hardware, or accessories used in the construction of tennis courts, running tracks, courts & recreational facilities, natural or synthetic turf sports fields or other athletic or recreational surfaces, and does not meet the qualifications for Builder membership, shall be eligible to be a Supplier Member of the Association.

Annual Dues: $1,350.00 USD

Provisional. Any individual, partnership, or corporation which would otherwise be eligible to be a Builder or Supplier Member of the Association, but which does not satisfy the two (2) year business requirement as required under Section1.a. of the Article, shall be eligible to join the Association as a Provisional Member. Provisional Members shall not be eligible to vote on matters coming to a vote of the Members of the Association, shall not be able to use the collective membership mark, and shall not be eligible to hold any office of the Association or any of its divisions. The membership category of a Provisional Member shall automatically be converted to the appropriate category upon satisfaction of the two-year business requirements.

Annual Dues: $550.00 USD

Ancillary. Other parties, which though not coming in any of the foregoing classifications, are interested in helping to fulfill the purposes of the Association shall be eligible to be Ancillary Members of the Association. Examples of Ancillary Members are trade publications and associations. Ancillary Members shall not be eligible to vote on matters coming to a vote of the Members of the Association, and shall not be eligible to hold any office of the Association or any of its divisions.

Courts Division: Companies actively engaged in the building, design and construction of outdoor sport courts and facilities such as tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and multi-purpose fitness and recreational areas. The Association also represents designers of such courts and suppliers of related materials.

Fields Division: Companies actively engaged in the building of synthetic and natural grass sports fields. A majority of field builders also install tracks and synthetic track surfaces as part of a project scope of work. The Association also represents designers of such fields and suppliers of related materials.

Tracks Division: Companies actively engaged in the building and construction of running tracks and synthetic track surfaces. The Association also represents designers of such running tracks and suppliers of related materials.

Indoor Sports Surfaces Division: Companies actively engaged in the building and construction of indoor athletic and multi-use facilities for sports such as basketball, volleyball, pickleball, fitness, and indoor track. These facilities may be constructed with natural wood or synthetic sports surfaces. The Association also represents designers of such indoor facilities and suppliers of related materials.
