The City of Hudson Memorial Day parade and ceremony will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025. All floats and participants must be staged by 9:00 am at Milford Drive (near SR 303). The parade will kick off promptly at 10:00 am. Applications for parade participants/floats will be open from April 1 - May 2.
- Participants must focus their entry on the purpose of Memorial Day remembering those who have lost their lives in service to our Country over promotion. Parade entries are encouraged to follow a patriotic theme. Campaigning and business marketing are not permitted.
- Current elected officials may participate and can identify themselves or their vehicles; however, no distribution of literature, attendance by elected official staff, nor use of any campaigning terms such as “elect”, “re-elect”, “vote” or “retain” is permitted.
- No throwing candy or items into the crowd. The Military and Veteran’s Commission will hand out flags to the crowd at the beginning of the parade.
- All participants must stay in motion. No stopping throughout the parade route.
- No car horns, air horns, or sirens.
- Organization or name must be clearly displayed on your entry.
- The parade is rain or shine. In the event there is a cancellation due to severe weather, please find information on City’s social media pages.
- Check-in with volunteers to lineup correctly. *This is important as names are read by HCTV.
- Parade participants are encouraged to attend the ceremony at Markillie Cemetery following the end of the parade, around 11:15AM.
Parade Route: Begins at Milford/303 heading east toward downtown, then makes a left on SR 91 north, ending at Markillie Cemetery for the ceremony.

WAIVER/HOLD HARMLESS - All organizations must complete a Waiver/Hold Harmless by May 2 to participate in the parade or ceremony. The only exception to this rule are public entities.
