Purple Mail (Federal Work Study Hires)

Purple Mail is for FWS Student Employment. All other types of student employment must use Blue Mail and departmental or grant funding.

*Please allow 3 - 4 business days for processing. Confirmation from The Office of People and Culture is REQUIRED before a student can begin work. Upon confirmation from People and Culture, your student employee may begin work.


Students can not begin working under FWS until August 28, 2024.


REQUESTER attests that the student has provided a current award letter confirming FWS funding. Requester also agrees to comply with the college's student employment policies and procedures.


Please note: If a FWS student employee exceeds their award amount, their excess funds will automatically be charged to the department submitted on the Purple Mail.

Student Employee Pay Scale & Raises

Student Employee Rates for the 2024 - 2025 Academic Year has been updated. All student employees are required to follow the current pay rates to ensure equitable pay. Blue mails submitted with incorrect pay scales will delay processing. See below link to 2024- 2025 Student Pay Scale & Raise document:
