Designated Agency Application

This site is provided for organizations seeking approval by the Colorado State Board of Education to operate as a designated agency and offer an alternative educator preparation program within the state and for already approved programs seeking to add an endorsement. This application cannot be saved or completed at a later time, so please ensure that you have all required documentation prior to beginning the submission process. By checking this box below, you are agreeing to the understanding of the participation requirements to several on-going activities in order to maintain your status as a designated agency in Colorado. Engage in annual preparation provider update. (i.e. contacts for state and federal reporting, curricular changes, new endorsement areas, etc.) Designated Agencies are required to maintain records of individual candidate’s participation, progress and completion. Submit required data reports to CDE per state and federal statutes (i.e. Title II, Report to the General Assembly, Educator Preparation Report, etc.) Participate in required State Board of Education reauthorization process including an on-site evaluation conducted not more than every 5 years.
