Grant Application

The MTA Foundation serves to pioneer a more robust and connected community through education and other activities in the MTA member service area. Grants will be made in accordance with the MTA Foundation Bylaws, to organizations that qualify as exempt under Section 501(c)(3), public charities as defined by the Internal Revenue Code and private or public agencies with educational missions, and/or operating programs that further the education of people living within MTA's service area. Grants are for requests over $5,000.

Review and Follow Up


Grants are reviewed by the MTA Foundation Board on a quarterly basis. Applications must be received two weeks prior to the scheduled Foundation meeting. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the board meeting to answer questions pertaining to the project. 


Awardees will be notified one week after Board determination.
