Thank you for registering to volunteer at the Women’s Cadet and Junior ‘A’ BRC (all weapons) VENUE INFO: Sport and Fitness Centre, University of Birmingham DATES: 18th and 19th September 2021 If you need to change or update any details given within this form after submission prior to the event, please contact eventsadmin@britishfencing.com After completing this form, you will receive confirmation that we have received your registration form. A member of BF staff will be in contact around 2 weeks prior to the event to confirm the event information and schedule for the weekend.

Event Volunteering Roles

Please indicate below which role/roles you would like to be involved with. Please note, to ensure a successful event, role requirements may change and vary throughout the event. A full volunteer brief will be provided before every competition. Please tick as many roles as you are interested in. The times required for each role are listed below, however, if you are only available to volunteer at specific times, please contact eventsadmin@britishfencing.com
 
This role involves supporting the head of DT in the running of the competition, including operation of the computer software (Engarde) and managing the incoming results
 
This role involves supporting the floor manager in the smooth running of the event, including dealing with any problems/ queries on the field of play during the day and liasing with DT
 
This role involves working alongside the British Fencing head of accreditation to issue accreditation during the competition, to check accreditation when entering the field of play
 
To be the welfare officer for a British Fencing event, you must hold the following qualifications/checks: DBS NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Course Time to Listen Course
 
This role involves helping and assisting with any queries coming in from fencers/parents/spectators throughout the event
 

 
Before each event, the British Fencing Events Team require volunteers to assist in the set up at each venue which begins in the afternoon of the day before the event starts. If you are interested in assisting in the set up please tick the box below
 
 
Where volunteers do not live within a commutable distance to the venue and depending on the number of days volunteering, BF may be able to provide hotel accommodation. Hotel rooms are often twin rooms, so you are likely to be sharing with another volunteer. If you have any individual requirements, or requests to share with another volunteer, please contact eventsadmin@britishfencing.com. If your request for accommodation has been successful, you will be contacted by a member of the BF team.

As Event Volunteers, you will receive event accreditation which is to be worn at all times whilst at the event. BF are committed to ensuring the sustainability of our events, as part of this, we ask all those with accreditation to return this as they leave the event in order for the materials to be reused/recycled. I agree that I am aware and will return my accreditation to BF by handing back my accreditation at the end of the event.
