Division for Early Childhood Research Request

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) for your research. DEC is committed to partnering with families, practitioners, and researchers in pursuit of positive outcomes for all

children and their families. To that end, the research request process helps ensure research that utilizes DEC resources and/or is disseminated through DEC channels aligns with DEC’s mission, vision, stated means policies, Recommended Practices (DEC RPs), and the Racial/Equity Point of View (RE POV).

Approval or rejection of any research proposal through the DEC Research Request process does not endorse or prevent the research from being conducted. Further, DEC can not evaluate any proposal for adherence to requirements such as those related to Human Subjects Research and Institutional Research Board (IRB) approval. Therefore, approval of a request does NOT take the place of the project being approved through your institution, employer, and/or agency. DEC does not serve in such a capacity and any research must be reviewed and approved through appropriate processes by the researcher.
