Practitioner Development Programs Lead

2025-2027

This new leadership role will be responsible for Sport Scientist Canada’s two practitioner development programs. There will be a new alternating schedule (each program running every 2 years).


•    Women in Sport Science Mentorship Program (odd years)

•    LEAD Leadership Program (even years)


Term: 2 years, part-time flexible hours

Eligibility:

I.    Be of good standing with the relevant certification body for a sport science or sport medicine discipline

II.    Hold a Sport Scientist Canada Membership (Professional or HP Certified)

III.    Possess a minimum of 3 years working at 0.5 FTE or more with a national sport organization or for a Canadian Sport Institute/Centre or multisport organization in a high performance environment as a practitioner with Olympic and/or Paralympic programs


Remuneration: $20,000 ($10,000/year of the term)


Selection

•    Short-listed applicants will interview the week of May 12-23, 2025

•    The successful candidate will be notified by May 31, 2025. Work would commence immediately following selection. A slightly compressed schedule of planning would occur in the first year.
