2025 NEA-Retired Governance Elections Form
(Note: Retired nominees for the NEA Resolutions Committee must complete another form due to having different candidate qualifications and a different filing deadline).
Please use this Smartsheet when nominating one’s self for NEA-Retired national elected positions. Only nominations for the following will be accepted on this form:
- NEA-Retired Vice President (3-year term)
- NEA-Retired Executive Council (2 seats, 3 year terms)
- NEA-Retired Executive Council - Vacancy (1 seat; 1 year, 2 month term)
- NEA-Retired Members serving on the NEA Board of Directors (2 seats, 3 year terms)
- NEA-Retired Alternates for the NEA Board of Directors (2 seats, 3 year terms)
The deadline for filing is April 15, 2025, at 5:00 pm EST. The election for these positions will occur at the 2025 NEA-Retired Annual Meeting.
To qualify as a candidate, the nominee must be a registered NEA-Retired member as of September 1, 2024, and must complete the financial campaign form one week after the 2025 NEA-Retired Annual Meeting, as detailed in the NEA-Retired Election Rules.
After filing, nominees will receive additional campaign information.
Candidates may request a table space for campaigning and for their campaign literature.
