1. Open the Government website and search for "Prove your immigration status: get a share code" https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status

2. Click start now and select the main form of ID you have (passport, national identity card, or biometric residence card or permit)

3. Insert the code requested (passport number, national identify card number, or, biometric card / permit code)

4. Insert your date of birth and any additional questions they require

5. If accepted your share code will then generate. It will expire in 30 days' time so you may be requested to get another one. If failed, you will need to check your immigration status at the home office.
