Office Move Program/Moving Services

Moving services is a billable service (per Facilities Management's Service Level Committment, Section XI - Non-routine Maintenance).


The Office Move Program includes;


  • Routine cleaning; horizontal surfaces, vacuum/mopping, emptying trash
  • Moving of SSU property/equipment; 6 banker box limit. Facilities Management is not responsible for personal belongings that experience loss or damage during the move.
  • Disposal of surplus SSU property/equipment; Excess furniture/equipment will not be stored
  • Paint touch-up
  • Furniture rearrangement within space; Furniture moves will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must comply with CA SFM Fire Code.
  • Signage update; Does not include building directory updates
  • Key issuance updates; Does not include lock changes
  • Phone/data changes; Does not include new installations

Note: Office moves are scheduled and require a minimum of 30 day advance notice (subject to change based on seasonal activities).


Any facility related work contracted without Facilities Maintenance involvement will be violation of EO 847, SUAM 9700, ICSUAM 5000, and subject to possible filing of Union grievances as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with Unit 5 (Article 3) and/or Unit 6 (Article 4).
