Imaging is not only performed by physicians. Technicians, sonographers and nurses play a very vital role in the delivery of high quality, fast-paced, patient-centered cardiovascular imaging (CVI). EACVI recognises the importance of Allied Health Care Professional (AHCP) and is calling for the establishment of a Special Interest Group (SIG) to address the needs of AHCPs.

We are looking for ACHPs who would serve as Chair of Echocardiography, Chair of CMR and Chair of CCT + Nuclear Cardiology. We also encourage those who have an interest to be an active member of this SIG to apply. Successful applicants must be an EACVI Silver Member or FEACVI at the time of the start of their mandate as chair or member of this SIG. Please read the job description before applying.

The objectives of the SIG are:

• Provide a sense of community
• Set a standard of excellence for the delivery of cardiac imaging services and to improve the availability and quality of such services
• Fill the educational gaps for both new and experienced AHCPs
• Develop opportunities to participate in research
• Provide networking opportunities

Timelines:

• 30 October – 4 December: application for Chairs and Members
• 13-15 December: Interview of the Chair applicants
• 22 December: Announcement of the results of the SIG Chairs
• 08-19 January: Review of the members applications by the Chairs
• 29 January: Announcement of the results of the SIG Members
