2025-2026 JBI Evidence Implementation Fellowship Application

The UCSF Leadership Institute within the Center for Nursing Excellence & Innovation is pleased to offer the JBI Evidence Implementation Fellowship Program.

This nine-month program is designed to explore strategies that promote effective evidence implementation focused on meso/macro system practice changes. The monthly workshops are aligned with adult learning principles and experiential learning exercises, incorporating didactic teachings and opportunities for application. The goal of this fellowship is to promote the spread of a previously implemented best practice to other areas within our health system.

This program offers participants guided opportunities to explore evidence and acquire skills in the JBI Practice Application of Clinical Evidence Systems (PACES) and Getting Research into Practice (GRIP) software. The program culminates with the publication of each participant’s Evidence Implementation Report in the JBI Evidence Implementation journal (impact factor: 2.3).

Applicant Criteria:

  • Experience with improvement activities, such as previous EBP, quality improvement project, or CN III/IV project.
  • The previous project was in alignment with UCSF Health True North Pillars and showed positive outcomes and return on investment.
  • The identified clinical gap related to the previous project also exists in other units/departments.

Once you have submitted your application, a request for approval notification will be sent to your Unit/Department Manager or Director.

Virtual informational meetings will be offered to those who are interested in learning more about the program or have any clarifying questions that need to be addressed. Please look out for emails with specific dates/times.
