BIPOC Advocate Listening Sessions

The goal of the listening sessions is to gain a better understanding of the needs of our BIPOC parent's/families across the state to empower them to better support their children. To form a partnership with our BIPOC parent's/families community to accommodate their unique needs by providing them with targeted guidance.

The objectives of the listening session are to:

  • Discuss student’s and parent’s equitable, diverse, and inclusive experiences with special and education identification and services.
  • Understand parent knowledge regarding equitable, diverse, and inclusive, special education identification and services.
  • Clarify parent needs and solicit input from Colorado’s BIPOC and bilingual community.
  • Utilize the information we have gathered to provide support and resources to this community.
